Let The Good Times Roll at Mardi Gras in The Electric City

Meals on Wheels is bringing Mardi Gras to the Electric City on Fat Tuesday, March 5, and tickets are on sale now! This New Orleans-themed event is an annual fundraiser for Meals on Wheels — Anderson and features a dance-party band, fun silent and live auctions, and delicious food and drinks from favorite local restaurants.

Doors will open at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center at 7 p.m., where guests will be greeted with beads, boas, and masks. Guests may also enjoy “street vendors” reminiscent of those in the popular Jackson Square district in New Orleans including a magician, fortune teller, and caricaturist.

Individual Mardi Gras tickets are $40 and may be purchased online at www.acmow.org or by calling Meals on Wheels at 864- 225-6800. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the night of the event. Tickets include all-you-can eat heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks. Specialty cocktails will be available for purchase.

Reserved tables are available as a “ Table of Friends” sponsorship. The sponsorship is $400, reserving a table with eight tickets and displaying your business or group’s name. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available.

All proceeds from this event will help Meals on Wheels continue to provide weekday meal deliveries to disabled and elderly homebound residents of Anderson County.
